In the Fall of 1992 at Western State College of Colorado, our preacher drove my bawling mother back to her home, and away from mine. “Get off my lawn!” I yelled. “Bye, damnit!” she said, tears running down her face as the preacher drove off.
It was hard saying goodbye, but then again… “Hey…. How you doin’?”
And so my education began.
Cut through two years in Gunnison, CO, two more years of school in Denver, and a whole lot of years in between, I started back to school at UW.
The University of Washington has been one of the best experiences of my life. I owe this place a great deal for the inspiration and self-esteem I’ve come away with. June is here, in this year of 2014.
I’m graduating 22 years after I started.
Mom, Dad, Vee…. Thanks for the support.

We’re running now. Off to put a dent in the world, hopefully in a good manner.
